Antartica in Istanbul
Yeşil Istasyon, established with the support of Electrolux, is the counterpart of Princess Elisabeth Station which is the first "zero emission" research station constructed in Antarctica.
Penguins meet the guests at Yeşil Istasyon. It provides any information about Antarctica, you can visit the model of the Princess Elisabeth Station, and participate various experiments with tutors on global heating. Several games and puzzles offer a joyous adventure to Antarctica. .
In addition you can have information about the life of Inuits (Eskimo) who lives on the North Pole, by examining their homes (igloo) and dresses.
Don’t forget to take your camera with you for a shot in penguin costume.
Yeşil İstasyon can be visited everyday between 09:00 and 18:00 until May 2010.

What is Princess Elisabeth Station?
Princess Elisabeth Station (The Green Station), made of eco-friendly construction materials, was officially inaugurated on February 15, 2009. It is the only zero emission base on the Antarctica and is operating entirely on renewable energy. A team of 20 scientists is working on examining the glaciers, ozone layer, global warming, sea layers and life, and the projection of climate change to species.
