Antika Pazarı (Antique Market) cheers-up Elçi Sokak of Yukarı Ayrancı first Sunday of every month . The shopkeepers of Çıkrıkçılar Yokuşu and Gaziosmanpaşa (GOP), the antique sellers, and the tradesmen from Anatolia exhibit their goods on 120 stands. Although this tented place has once been established a food market by the Municipality, is now a perfect place for antique lovers.
The ones who are interested in old and antique objects, happy to see everything together at the same time. You can find anything from jewels to furniture, from Turkish artworks to gravures, even copper pans. In addition, you get help for repairs and the restoration of your belongings. You are lucky that most of the shopkeepers speak some English. An excellent place to visit for a colorful and different Sunday.
By the way, you may be surprised by the quiet atmosphere in contrast to Pazar, which helps you to wander around and do some peaceful shopping.
What if you get hungry? No problem! You have various alternatives such as gözleme and köfte (meatballs). In winter the hot wine you are going to sip sure will warm you up.
