Antique Market, Ulus
In order to have a joyous weekend, breathe the past on the outskirts of Ankara Castle and play host to antique lovers, the tradesmen of Samanpazarı have declared the first Sunday of every month "Spring Festival and Antiques Fair", with the support of Municipality of Altındağ.The streets around the castle, such as At Pazarı Sokak, Can Sokak, Pirinç Sokak, Pirinç Han and Salman Sokak, hold antique bazaars, auctions, live music, exhibitions and surprise programs.
The first Antique Market took place in early May and, as a result of high demand, now takes place on the first Sunday of each month.
Although the Antique Market in Yukarı Ayrancı is held on the same day, this
one enables the tradesmen from around the area to participate the market. Especially
in cold winter days it was really difficult to carry objects to Yukarı Ayrancı,
so the tradesmen solved this problem by founding this Antique Market. The tradesmen
exhibiting their goods in Yukarı Ayrancı are mostly from other cities.
