Breakfast Corners

Four Seasons Hotel
The long Sunday breakfast is an ideal way to get rid of weekend weariness. Recently, brunches have become an indispensable habit in big cities. Besides five- or four-star hotels, small cafès also arrange brunches.

A jury of food writers and gourmets working for the daily Hürriyet Newspaper have selected the best places for breakfast. However, note that the jury has given priority to Istanbul, especially to the European side of the Bosphorus, while deciding.

Four Seasons Hotel
This five-star hotel, once the Sultanahmet jail, arranges brunch on Sundays from 11:30 to 15:00. Every week there is a corner where examples of various cuisines are offered. Besides continental breakfast, salads, varieties of cheese, seafood, risotto, asparagus, BBQ, fresh fruit juice, pancakes, and omelettes are among the alternatives. Jams and honey from the comb are the favorites. It is free for children aged 0-6.

AŞŞk Cafè
AŞŞk Cafè is located in Arnavutköy, almost on top of the sea. Potted eggs are its specialty. In addition, local cheese, homemade jams, special tahin-pekmez (sesame paste and grape molasses) are among the favorites. They offer tasty herbal tea. "HoŞŞ" herbal tea is made from lavender, thyme, mint and camomile. The specially blended tea is brewed in porcelain teapots. The cafè is open every day from 09:00 to 24:00.
Note of the editor: Beware of the wave created by the sea bus!!!!

Mehtab (SütiŞ)
Mehtab was a tea garden located on the Rumelihisarı coast and in service between 1952 and 1985. They changed the name to SütiŞ after partnership with the company bearing that name; however it is still known as Mehtab. It is open everyday from 06:00 to 01:00. The breakfast consists of various omelettes, cream, honey, olive, cheese and fruit juice. The milk desserts (puddings) are the specialties of the site.

Bahar Pastanesi
Bahar is in Arnavutköy and its breakfast plate consists of various cheeses, honey, butter, egg, salami, ham, black and green olives, tomatoes and cucumber. You can also order your favorite omelette. Besides the continental breakfast, it is famous for its small böreks, pizza, cakes and a special bread baked made from a mixture of whole-wheat and oat. They insist that you drink lemonade nowhere else but at Bahar. It is open from 07:00 to 24:00 and serves breakfast even at night.

Saray Muhallebicisi
Saray has been in service in Istanbul since 1935 and has several branches throughout the city. The continental breakfast served in the TeŞvikiye branch is popular. The plate is composed of cheese varieties, cucumber, tomatoes, olive, butter and jam. Moreover you can taste börek, omelette and hot and cold sandwich selections.

Sade Kahve
The place has been decorated like a country garden and offers two kinds of breakfast: Country or village breakfast and continental breakfast. The omelettes are made from village eggs. Varieties of bread including Trabzon bread and simit are also among the specialties.

Bebek Kahve
This most popular site was included in the list thanks to its location, not the richness of the breakfast provided. It is between Bebek Mosque and Bebek port. The breakfast is only poğaÇa, börek, tost and cookies. It is open from 07:00 to 21:00.

Yeniköy Spor Kulübü
This Club is on the coast of Yeniköy and is open to the public. The breakfast plate consists two kinds of cheese, egg, olive, tomato, cucumber, butter, honey and jam. Other types of eggs, sigara and paÇanga börek are also available. It is open every day from 08:00 to 01:00.

Cafehane
It is a cafè holding 150-200 located on the seaside in ızmir. The continental breakfast plate is comprised of olives, white cheese, honey, butter, jam, tomato and cucumber. Tea is served in a teapot. Fried cheese, sucuk and sausage, baked kaŞar cheese on bread and omelette varieties are also offered.

Queen Ada
