İstanbul Tekstil ve Konfeksiyon İhracatçı Birlikleri (Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Associations) -ITKIB
The Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Associations (ITKIB) is the leading textile industry association in Turkey, bringing together 28,000 manufacturers and exporters of textiles, apparel, carpets, leather, leather wear and ready-to-wear garments. ITKIB members account for 80 percent of Turkey's textile and apparel exports and 30 percent of the country's total exports - reaching primary markets in Europe and in the United States.
ITKIB is unique in the world - in concept, structure, number of members, and activities. Founded in 1986, the group has changed the face of Turkish exports by being forward-looking and strategic. ITKIB has successfully increased exports in both textiles and ready-to-wear clothing. Today, the group has become the backbone of Turkey's textile and apparel exports by taking a lead in growth and development. ITKIB members are a major partner and a critical source for major U.S. and European labels and continue to produce high-quality goods for world markets at competitive prices. Through ITKIB's efforts, Turkish textiles have formed a sizeable presence in Europe, and throughout much of the world.
