Cherry Liqueur

Prepare your jars we are going to make Sour Cherry Liqueur!!

It is said that sour cherry is a fruit peculiar to Black Sea Coasts. Well, "Cherry Orchard" of famous author Anton Cehov was a story on Black Sea coast, which was the summer place of Russia. Sour cherry is on the stands of green grocers and at pazars. However you can find the dried and frozen cherry afterwards. But I don't know how to make liqueur from dried or frozen cherries.

Ingredients
1 kg. Sour cherry
750 gr. Sugar
10-15 cloves (optional)
1-2 sticks cinnamon (optional)
1 bottle of alcohol (70 cl)
150 cl. Water
Glass jar with a capacity of at least 3 liters.

Drain the cherries. Cut the stalks of the half of the cherries with scissors and put all the cherries in a jar. Dissolve the sugar in hot water and pour over the cherries when it becomes tepid. Add the alcohol, cinnamon and cloves and stir slowly. Cover the jar and left in a cupboard for a month. Then it is ready. However if you eat 10 or so fruits you may feel dizzy!!!

Note: The fruits can also color your fruit salads in winter.
