Fazıl Say - Pianist/Composer

Say got his diploma in Germany in 1991 as "Concerto soloist" and was assigned as piano and chamber music teacher in Berlin Performing Arts and Music Academy in 1992. He was the winner of Europe Young Concert Soloists Competition in 1994 and got the first place in the World Competition in New York in 1995 which gave rapid and brilliant start to his international career.
Besides playing the piano, he composed many oratorios, piano concertos, pieces of music for chamber, orchestra and piano and many other songs. Say gave concerts on five continents. With his outstanding CDs he became a world famous pianist and is honored with more than 20 international awards. His repertoire ranges from Baroque to the contemporary and has performed under the baton of leading conductors with the world’s greatest orchestras
He performed an open air concert to an audience of some twenty thousand fans at the closing of 2007 Florence Festival with Florence Orchestra which was conducted by Zubin Mehta.
Eurepan Union assigned Fazıl Say as “European Culture Ambassador” in 2008. and he aims to set up new bridges Western and Oriental cultures.
