The exhibition is composed of 21 oil canvas paintings all of which are reflecting the inspiration of the artist by Anatolian rug-kilim motifs and designs. A beautiful series of still life is telling the story of Maroudas’ journey in discovering the Anatolian rug motives.
Maroudas said, “In classical still-life paintings, the important thing is the object on the table and it is a decorative object. In my exhibition the works reflect the [decorated] tables, but they are rug motifs. I think the real artists are the nomadic women. I only copy them.”
The exhibition is at Lengerhane section of the museum.
