Istanbul Design Biennial
Istanbul Design Biennial opens its doors on October 13th for two months, with exhibitions and events exploring creative products and projects from all disciplines of the creative industries in major fields from urban design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, new media design, and is ready to set the stage for Istanbul as a city of design.
Istanbul Design Biennial’s theme is “Imperfection”. Emre Arolat’s exhibition “Musibet” in Istanbul Modern and Joseph Grima’s exhibition “Adhocracy” in Galata Greek Primary School will bring together roughly 100 projects of more than 200 designers and architects from 46 countries, with works ranging from random objects, video installations, models, open air settings and photographs to interactive works where visitors can create their own designs.
Academic program, workshops, parallel participants’ events design walks, film screenings, debates and panes are among the activities of the westival.
