Istanbul Jazz Festival

Untitled Document Organized by Istanbul Foundation for Art and Culture (IKSV) and sponsored by Garanti Bank, Istanbul Jazz Festival celebrates its 24th anniversary in 2017.

The 24th  Istanbul Jazz Festival, with over 200 Turkish and international musicians in 50 concerts at 20 venues, is preparing to transform Istanbul into a jazz city between July 4 and 21, 2017.

The festival program includes a range of jazz, funk, world music, blues and rock performances. Kandance Springs, Jacky Terrasson & Stephane Belmondo, Nik Bärtsch, Jonny Greenwood and Fatoumata Diawara and Hindi Zahra are among the guests of this year's festival.

The festival will feature a remarkable innovation titled “ViTRin”: Showcase for Contemporary Music from Turkey which aims to focus on the successful musicians and ensembles of the local scene.  ViTRin will include several festival concerts on July 5-8.

“Jazz in the Parks” concerts will be held in Fenerbahçe Park, free of charge and the “Night Out” performances will be held in various venues in Kadıköy Moda. The festival will feature “A Childlike Day”, a special event that includes performances and workshops for children.

Among the 20 venues that will host the festival this year are the enchanting The Marmara Esma Sultan Mansion, which returns as a festival venue after a short break. The garden of the French Palace in Beyoğlu, the  Sultan Park of Swissôtel The Bosphorus and  the Panorama Terrace of The Grand Tarabya, will also serve as festival venues for the first time. Other festival venues include Beykoz Kundura, Fenerbahçe Khalkedon, Austrian Cultural Office Garden, Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum, Salon İKSV, Uniq Open-Air Theatre, Zorlu PSM Main Theatre and Zorlu PSM Drama Theatre. Night Out programme will take place in Kadıköy’s most beloved venues All Saints Moda Church, Club Quartier, Dorock XL, Kadıköy Sahne, KargART, Living Room, Moda Sahnesi and Zor.

Tickets for the Istanbul Jazz Festival on sale  through Biletix sales channels,  at İKSV (Nejat Eczacıbaşı Binası Sadi Konuralp Cad. No: 5 Şişhane - Istanbul) (between 10:00 and 18:00, every day except Sundays).
