Develi
Develi is located at Samatya, Etiler and Sarıyer in Istanbul and is open everyday from 12:00 to 24:00. Reservation is required for weekend evenings. It offers fixed menu with three alternatives for groups. Yuvalama, çiğ köfte (kind of steak tartar) and keme kebap (cooked with apple and walnuts) are the specialties.
Köşebaşı
Köşebaşı has branches at Levent, Nişantaşı, Beyoğlu and Fenerbahçe and is open
everyday from 12:00 to 24:00. It offers special fixed menus for groups. Slow music from
CD. Tarsus kebabı and pumpkin sweet are the suggested specialties.
İmam Çağdaş
The most famous kebapcı in Gaziantep and it is open everyday from 12:00 to 21:00.
The owner personally deals with the customers. Alinazik kebapı is the
favorite specialty of the site.
Nezih Yuvalama
Nezih has two branches at the Anatolian side in Istanbul: Kozyatağı and Kazasker.
It is open everyday from 12:00 to 23:00. There is no need for reservation. Yuvalama and soğan (onion)
kebap are the most famous specialties.
Bursa İskender
Bursa İskender is located on Bursa - Mudanya highway and is a family restaurant
descending from father to son. Now the third generation runs here. It is open
everyday from 10:00 to 20:00. They do not accept reservations and you may wait
for 5-8 minutes for an empty table. There is no alcoholic beverage.
Tike
Tike has branches at Levent, Nişantaşı, Güneşli and Şaşkınbakkal. It is open
everyday form 12:00 to 24:00 and also offers home delivery. Reservation is required.
Slow music is played from CD.
Yoğurtlu ezme and irmik (semolina) helva with ice cream is strongly
suggested.
Hamdi
This restaurant overlooking Eminönü is open everyday between 12:00-13:30 and
19:00-22:00. For tables, which have panorama, reservation is required in the
evenings. Slow music from CD. Fıstıklı kebap (with pistachio) and erikli
kebap (with plum) are among the favorite kebaps.
Çiya Kebap
Çiya is at Kadıköy Çarşı and open from 11:00 to 23:00. It offers 70 different
kinds of kebap. It doesn't have a fixed menu. One should taste Gülbahar
and Sirinam kebaps. The taste is very different and painstaking.
Yüzevler Kebapçısı
It is the famous kepapçı of Adana and has a branch at Göztepe, İstanbul. Yüzevler
is open everyday from 11:00 to 24:00. Alcoholic beverages are not served to
single men.
Koç Kebap
You must taste the "Çağ Kebap", which is a special döner in
Erzurum. The owner Kemal Koç personally deals with his customers and says that
four Çağ kebap are filling.
