Magic Ice Museum

The Magic Ice Museum covers an area of 1,400 square meters and displays 34 statues made of 70 tons of ice. Visitors wear special Eskimo clothes and enter the museum passing through an ice tunnel. The temperature will be kept at minus 5 degrees Celcius (Fahrenheit 13) throughout the year.
The theme of the first section is “Vikings” and composed of the world’s biggest Viking boat, ice statues and the route map of the first Vikings traveling to Istanbul. The second section provides information about the nature of Scandinavia creating North Pole atmosphere. The third part includes an ice Vitamin Bar where fruit juice in ice glasses is offered.
70 tons of ice were brought from River Torne in Jukkasjarvi region of Sweden to be used in making the ice statues while, 100 tons of ice needed for construction of the walls and tunnels. were provided from Istanbul.
Magic Ice Museum is open everyday between 10:00 and 22:00. In addition to ice statues special light and visual shows are among the facilities of the museum.
Admission fee is 20 TL for adults and 15 TL fro children.
