Midpoint
by Canan Negüs
Nowadays Midpoint is one of the most popular places of Anatolian site and is located at "Cadde", which means Bağdat Caddesi. It is not only a café and restaurant but also a bar.
Its breakfast menu attract the attention and is full early in the morning with people who drop before going to work. Youngsters, employees of nearby offices and women who shop at Cadde are the customers at lunchtime.Natural colors were selected for decoration making the site cozy and warm.
The menu is very rich and the portions are well filling. Salads, cold and hot appetizers, American originated snacks such as chicken, main courses and desserts forms the menu. Sunday breakfasts of Midpoint are worth trying.
I usually eat salad, dessert and drink a cup of coffee at likewise cafés. However I was surprised when gigantic "Penne Salad" was served and naturally I couldn't finish. I'm a bit greedy and also ordered a portion of "Mud Pie" and again a huge pie with chocolate sauce on was in front of me but it was delicious and I regret leaving some part of it in the plate!!!
If the weather is nice I strongly suggest you sit at a table in front of the café and watch the colors of the town while trying to finish your portions.
It is open everyday between 08:00-24:00 and dynamic Latin music is played from CD. The price is reasonable around 20 million TL per person and credit cards are welcome.
