Tell us about yourself
I am a Filipino, 34 years old and living in GOP for the past 3 months. I am
attached with the Philippine Embassy here in Ankara. My father is a Filipino
diplomat. I am a business consultant and a former banker.
What made you come to Turkey?
I came to Turkey to accompany my parents.. My father has been assigned to Ankara
about 3 months ago
What do you do in your daily life?
My daily life.... well its pretty much routine.. I'm still engaged in trying
to find an appropriate business here in Ankara.
Can you compare your first days here with today?
First few weeks were difficult. I did not have much friends and i think the
main issue is that Turkey locals hardly speak English. so it was really hard.
Turkish language?
No Turkish langauge.. but I'm trying to learn it.
Have you traveled in Turkey? Tell us your discoveries
Turkey has great places to see.. Plenty of ruins which speak highly of its rich
cultural heritage, not to mention its glorious past.
Turkish ladies, well they are very attractive., very friendly and a very warm
smile. But as I have mentioned earlier, language is a big barrier.
Turkish Cuisine?
Turkish cuisine..well nothing beats kebab!!!!
Any suggestion to new comers to Turkey?
Turkey is really a country the should be visited. The historical sights....
pristine beaches, friendly people, well these are just some of the factors why
Turkey must be visited.
