Besides chain pastry shops such as Kuki, Liva, Divan, Ankara there are also “boutique” shops offering international tastes. Turkish cakes are not for serving as sweet after meals but are creamed delicious ones to company teatime. Almost all pastry shops have special tastes to offer. These dispensable specialties are: rococo of Divan, Turkish cakes of Flamingo, boza of Akman, brownie of Best Café, mekik of Angora, German cake of Lavita and finally Mado the newest name for ice cream.
Divan, Oğuz Uzun and Vakko produce their own chocolates and recently Bind got its place among the favorite brands of choco-holics. Moreover international brands Godiva and Leonidas offer their delicious chocolates in their own shops.
Again many pastry shops have cafes within or next to them. The pastry shops of all big hotels, also serving as cafes made great attack during the last decade and got their places among the favorite sites. Small pastry shops have small tables at which you can sip lemonade together with their specialties.
