Quick China-Makisushi Restaurant

When I went to Ankara to visit a close friend of mine, I wanted to treat her to dinner. However, having no idea about restaurants in Ankara, I asked her to choose the restaurant. She immediately said "Quick China". - Alas, I said, I don't like soy, so I cannot enjoy Chinese cuisine. Moreover, the word "quick" reminded me of "fast food" and so I had low expectations. However, I trust my friend's good taste and accepted her suggestion. We immediately called for a reservation in order to find a table in the garden.
I want to say a few words about the person the street was named after, Uğur Mumcu. He was an investigative journalist, with tendencies towards the democratic left. He had many enthusiasts and was famous for his investigations into corruptions. He was living on this street when he was murdered in front of his house with a bomb placed in his car. On the anniversary of his death, hundreds of people visit this street, light candles, sing songs and leave flowers. When we turned into the street we also mentioned him with love.
Quick China is located at the ground floor of a building surrounded by greenery. The wooden tables, chairs with white cushions, pebbles sprinkled between the granite floor, torches at the entrance and candles on the tables grab your attention. It is impossible to find a table in the garden without a reservation. Actually, the interior is also very cozy but of course sitting in the garden on summer nights is much more preferable.
Quick China was previously in service on Arjantin Caddesi and, when combined with Makisushi moved here. Therefore, the menu consists of both Chinese and Japanese cuisines. We prefer Chinese, however we also took a look at the Japanese menu. This menu has 30 dishes including Sake Ozeki and Japanese beer. The Chinese menu offers 74 dishes including desserts.
We tried to choose different tastes. I ordered Yufkalı Çıtır Pekin Ördeği (Peking Duck with Yufka) as the main course and KarıŞık Sebze (mixed vegetables). My friend order "veal with sweet and sour sauce" and "pilav with almonds". I drank wine while she preferred "Chinese Tea".
We shared the pilav and vegetables. They were both very delicious. The duck was served on warm plate and was very filling and attractive with macaroni, vegetables and three kinds of sauce on the side. My friend also was very fond of her choice. I also wanted to taste "fried ice cream", unfortunately we were both full. The only thing decracting from this delicious meal was that the espressos were served cool. Finally, we paid a very reasonable price for such a delicious meal and excellent service.
Visiting this restaurant is a "must" for Chinese cuisine lovers. It is open everyday from 11:00 to 24:00 and also applies discounted menus for lunch. The price of these menus with three different dishes and a beverage is between 9.000.000 and 10.000.000 TL. The restaurant has package service between 11:00-22:45, however the discounted menus can be sent to your address only between 11:00-17:00.
