The Capital has very dense domestic and foreign bureaucrat traffic. Therefore the restaurants compete with each other to offer different tastes. For examples there are numerous Karadeniz (Black Sea) Restaurants. The restaurants are very colorful with their menus from Chinese cuisine to Mediterranean, from Japanese sushi to French soufflés, from Italian cakes to delicious Southeast Anatolian kebap.
The recent trend is the "café-restaurant-bar" trio and it is a very popular concept among the young generation in Ankara. Especially the two or three story houses in Gaziosmanpaşa were swiftly converted to café-restaurant-bar.
