Scuba Diving in Turkey

 For those enamored with the sport, scuba diving is not only a sport but also a philosophy. Diving provides a way to escape the realities of life above water and to lose oneself in the beauty and serenity of nature. It is peaceful and relaxing, and an experience that can enhance your perception of life. It's also great fun!

Though Turkey is surrounded by beautiful water, scuba diving is permissible in very limited areas only.

Scuba diving is prohibited in the following areas:
* Istanbul Sedef Island (one of the Princes' Islands)
* Between Istanbul Büyük Çekmece - Güzelce and Değirmen Headland
* Kapıdağ peninsula-East of Gündoğdu Port and Osmanlı Headland
* In the region of Akça Ada
* Kapıdağ Erdek
* Marmara Island between Domol Headland and Aba Headland and west of Hayırsız Island
* Çanakkale (Dardanelle) channel exit à between Kumkale Headland and Baba Headland
* Between Sivrice ve Kadırga Headlands
* Ayvalık à Küçük Maden Island
* Çandarlı Gulf, between Maltepe Headland and Foça Headland
* İzmir Gulf Urla Port
* Between Çeşme Headland and Sığacık Gulf Doğanbey Headland
* Didim Tekağaç Headland
* Bodrum Akyarlar Kocaburun Island
* Between Gökova Karaburun and Akbuk Hedaland
* Between Gökova Çamlimanı and Gökova Koyu Headland
* Between Körmen Harbour and İnce Burun
* Between Gökova Mersinli Harbour and Datça İnceburun and in the region of Datça
* Between entrance of HisarönüGulf and Marmaris Kadırgaburnu
* Between Marmaris Turnalıburnu and Köyceğiz Eşekburnu
* Between Dalaman Akçaburun and Göcek Bal Headland
* Between Fethiye İblis Headland and Fethiye Belceğiz Gulf Headland and in the region of Yediburunlar
* In the region of Kalkan and between İnceburun and Bozburun
* Between Kaş İnceburun and Kekova Gökkaya Harbour exit
* Between Finike and İnceburun
* In the region of Antique Side
* Between Manavgat Alanya and Karaburun and Kargı Farm.
* All along Black Sea ,Syria border and on all historical places
