Siteler
If you were in the market for furniture, Siteler would be your best bet. This biggest furniture center of Ankara is located on the route to airport and is about 15 km. away from the city center. After passing by Ulus turn right from the first crossing (Aydınlıkevler) a dense thinner and furniture polish smell will remind you that you are at Siteler. Also any taxi you take will easily drop you at Siteler.
Furniture to facilitate any room of the house, designed from very classical to space-age models are available. However, be prepared to wander around to find what you are looking for. The place is spread out and there is no organizational scheme for the shops. You can also order your furniture according to your own design or make revisions on an existing model, as majority of the showrooms have their own manufacturing facilities. Besides furniture, you can find your hardware requirements in the same area. Fabrics for draperies and upholstery, catering to different tastes, are also waiting for their visitors in Siteler.
If accessories are what you are after, again, you are in the right place. Bargaining is a must and when paying in cash, be stern with sales people. If you give a special order, which will take time to deliver, do not pay the full price in advance; they tend to be relaxed in their delivery schedules.
