Spring Fever
|
|
Spring fever commonly occurs during a sudden warm spell following a long cold winter. When the temperature rises, the body has to get rid of heat. The energetic feeling experienced is the body's reaction to the large amount of work going on to cope with an increasingly warm environment. The body tries to get rid of accumulated toxins. Spring months are considered the "revival months"; following are the best methods of revival and purification.
Silk kese (scrubbing mitten) or massage with pumpkin fibers (kabak lifi)
Massage with silk kese or pumpkin fibers on dry skin every morning and evening
and on an empty stomach following a warm shower. If your skin is very sensitive
and dry, or if you have eczema, scrubbing is not recommended. Note: You can
find ipek kese and kabak lifi at almost all spice sellers and natural shops.
Sports
The best way to get rid of accumulated toxins and to revive circulation. If
you were not active during winter, then you can begin by walking in the open
air rather than doing heavier sports. Naturally, sports centers are also useful.
Don't forget to drink a bottle of mineral water on the day you do sports.
Sunlight
The hormonal changes that occur with the revival of the body begin with the
effects of sunlight. Therefore, don't neglect to get sunshine for 10-15 minutes
every day.
Vitamins, Food supports
After a 2-to-3-day detox program, you can use natural uplifting supplements
such as meyankökü(root-liquorice), soya lecithin, B-complex vitamins, gingko
biloba, Ayurveda pills, red or Siberian ginseng, DHEA or Chlorella, after consulting
your doctor. NOTE: Never use all of them at the same time.
Healthy Nutrition
Try to meet your sugar requirements with fresh fruits, honey and dried fruits.
Avoid including food with yeast, fatty meat, delicatessen products, fried food
and shellfish in your meals. Especially uncooked foods, whole grains, deep-sea
fish, fresh juice, lentils, radishes, green plums, nettles, horsebeans and artichokes
should be among your favorite food.
Chew Kakule (cardamom)
Chewing 4 to 5 kakule fruit gives energy to both the body and the brain. Spices
and aromatic herbs such as powdered ginger, cloves (karanfil), thyme (kekik),
rosemary (biberiye), sweet basil (mercanköşk), fresh green pepper, sage (adaçayı),
rosehip (kuşburnu) tea, mint, celery leaves, root-liquorice (meyankökü), garden
rocket and cress should be indispensable parts of your meals. NOTE: Those who
have stomach discomfort or allergies should consult their doctor before using
these spices and herbs.
Get Enough Sleep
It is wise to go to sleep early until your body adapts to the activity of spring.
Melissa tea helps insomnia.
We hope the above help you to go with the awakening nature.
