Supermarkets

 Untitled Document

Among the well-known supermarkets in Ankara: Gima and Migros are the two biggest. Metro being the one and only cash and carry market serves mostly to companies rather than individuals.

The addresses of following supermarkets are located in Yellow Pages.

Canerler
This chain store can be found at various districts all over Ankara with a limited variety of products mostly inland. The one on the corner of Nenehatun and Esat Caddesi is very practical due to its location.

Carrefour SA
The Carrefour hypermarket opened in 1993 in İstanbul offering an overwhelmingly wide range of goods from food and camping tools to clothing and office equipment at reasonable prices. Carrefour SA has the Carrefour Card system provides various special offers and discounts. Like all other chain supermarkets, Carrefour also prints a sale circular every two weeks. The most unique characteristic of Carrefour is that service personnel get around on roller skates; it's an amusing way to assist customers more quickly. The parking lot, which is always full on weekends, has a capacity of 1700 cars.

Gima
Gima is the second biggest supermarket chain in Turkey. Besides food Gima has departments for non-food and ready to wear. The main store is in Kızılay. You can benefit from special discounts of various brands and have discount checks by collecting points by obtaining a Gima Card from any Gima store. Moreover, the promotion lists of 15-day period can be picked-up at the entrance of the market. Gima market addresses in Ankara are listed in our yellow pages.

Metro
The one and only cash-and-carry market in Turkey. Metro mainly serves to companies meaning a wholesale store than a retail store. Therefore one should have an entrance card obtained by the submission of the company's tax inscription. Once you get the card 5 persons of the same company got the opportunity of cheaper shopping. You can also use your diplomatic card. We recommend you to go there with someone who knows the way, as it is very complicated to explain the location. Open everyday from 07:00 to 22:00

Migros Markets
Migros is the biggest supermarket chain in Turkey. They have special discount card “Migros Club Card” which is free of charge and offering you different discounts on different products. You are just to fill a form in the market and the card will be sent to your address. Migros also has promotions for periods of 2 weeks, on various goods. You can follow this information from the shops. Migros market addresses in Ankara are listed in our yellow pages.

Real
It is the biggest supermarket in town located in Bilkent Plaza. The fresh fish, meat, and vegetable departments with imported products are really rich. Almost everything from stationary to clothes and TV sets are available. Has a good car parking lot and also bus service is provided from Çankaya (Simon Bolivar and Hoşdere Caddesi.).Open everyday from 10:00 to 22:00.

Şok Markets
Designed to meet all basic housing needs such as meat, fruit, vegetables, rice, and pasta etc, soft drinks, cleaning equipment with the most available price. Şok market addresses in Ankara are listed in our yellow pages

Yimpaş
This small supermarket offers a good grocery division with reasonable prices. The variety of goods is limited but the car parking area at the rear of the market and easy accessibility is really a plus. Open everyday from 9:00 to 23:00.
