The Richest Wine Menu

Four Seasons, Sultanahmet
According to research conducted by the daily Hürriyet Newspaper, the following restaurants have the richest wine lists in Istanbul.

Four Seasons
Located at the Four Seasons Hotel at Sultanahmet, this restaurant serves from 06:30 to 11:00, from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 19:00 to 23:00. A reservation is needed. The price is 70-80 million TL per person and music is played off CD. Fifty-two kinds of white wine, twelve of which are domestic, and forty-eight kinds of red wine, twelve of which are domestic, are on their menu. The cheapest is Çankaya while the most expensive is Chateau Margaux.

Lacivert
Lacivert is located in Kanlıca on the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus and is open every day between 12:00 and 02:00. A reservation is required. The soft music is supplied by CD. The price for à la carte is 50-60 million TL per person. The wine list consists of 16 domestic and 4 foreign white wines, and 19 domestic and 4 foreign red wines. The cheapest is Moskado while the most expensive is 1999 Pouillye fume-domaine Canpeau. The view is as stunning as the wine.

Loft
Loft is next to Harbiye Lütfi Kırdar Kongre ve Konser Salonu (Harbiye Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Convention Center). It is open from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 19:00 until midnight. A reservation is required. The price is about 60-80 million TL per person. The wine menu features 15 domestic and 4 foreign white wines, and 20 domestic and 4 foreign red wines. The cheapest is Yakut while the most expensive is Café de Paupe.

Spasso
Located in the Hyatt Regency Hotel ın Taksim, Spasso is open between 19:00 and 24:00. It is closed on Sundays and reservation in advance is a must. The à la carte price is around 80-100 million TL per person. Spasso offers 30 foreign and 10 domestic white wines, while offering 25 foreign and 25 domestic reds. The cheapest is Pamukkale while the most expensive is Italian Luce.

Zarifi
Located in Beyoğlu, Zarifi used to be a laundry. Now it is open every day from 20:00 to 24:00. Reservation is required. CDs play slow music, and the price is around 30-40 million TL per person. The restaurant serves 35 foreign wines and 85 domestic wines. Chardonnay and Marcihesi di Gresi are among the different varieties.

Papermoon
Papermoon is at the entrance of Akmerkez and is open from 12:00 to 01:00. Reservation is required. Italian music is played off CDs. It costs around 70 million TL per person. Red wines come in 15 foreign varieties and 8 domestic varieties, and white wines come in 10 foreign varieties and 5 domestic. The cheapest bottle is Yakut and the most expensive bottle is Barolo.

Les Ambassadeurs
This restaurant is just beside the sea at Bebek cove. They serve lunch between 12:00 and 16:00 and dinner between 19:00 and 01:00. Reservation is essential. Slow music is provided by CD, and the price is about 60-90 million TL per person. The wine list features 15 domestic and 5 foreign whites, and 22 domestic and 8 foreign reds. The cheapest one is Çankaya and the most expensive one is Margaux.

Park Şamdan
Park Şamdam is in Nişantaşı overlooking Demokrasi Park. The service hours are 12:30-15:00 and 20:00-24:00. Reservation is required. The price is approximately 50-60 million TL per person. In addition to 8 domestic and 4 foreign white wines, there are10 domestic and 4 foreign red wines on the menu. Shiraz Cabarnet is the cheapest foreign wine while Margaux Montbrun is the most expensive.

Changa
In Sıraselviler, Taksim, Changa is open only for dinner between 18:00-01:00. It is closed on Sundays. Reservation is required. A fixed "taste" menu can be had for 64 million for two. The restaurant offers 19 white wines, 9 of which are foreign, and 24 red wines, 14 of which are foreign. The cheapest wine is Çankaya and the most expensive wine is Melot Versato.

La Vecchia Torretta
This restaurant is at the top floor of Hünal's North Shield in Beşiktaş. It is closed on Sundays and the service is between 19:00-23:00. Italian music is played off CD. A la carte price is about 50-55 million TL per person. The wine list includes 13 foreign and 9 domestic white wines, and 14 foreign and 6 domestic red wines. Antik is the cheapest wine; Barbaresco Matinengo is the most expensive.
