This Weekend in Istanbul

2010 FIBA World Championship matches continue at Abdi Ipekci Arena, Istanbul on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased through Biletix. NTV channel will broadcast the matches.

Nardis Jazz Club, Galata hosts Yahya Dai Quartet on Friday. Elif Çağlar Curly Trio will take stage on Saturday at 22:30.
Kadir Night the most sacred night in the month Ramadan is on Sunday.

Pop music star Tarkan will take stage at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-air Theater on Saturday at 21:00.

The promotion party of Dart Wader, Star Wars hero, comics will take place at The Hall, Beyoğlu, on Saturday at 22:00. Star Wars series soundtracks will accompany  the party.

“Draq Queens and Çılgınlar Kulübü Night” takes place at Murphy’s Dance Bar, Kalamış on Friday at 22:00. Dance until dawn with DJ Ahmet Portakal on Saturday night. Live Latin Music begins at 21:30 on Sunday.

Whirling Dervishes performance will take place at Muammer Karaca Theater, Istiklal Caddesi Tünel-Galatasary on Sunday at 18:00.

Istanbul Dolphinarium, Eyüp is hosting the shows of dolphins on the weekend.

The world-famous “Body Worlds –The original Exhibition of Real  Human Bodies & The Cycle of Life” exhibition can be visited at Antrepo 3, Tophane at 10:00-21:00 on Friday and Saturday.
