The 4th annual 101 Tastes of Istanbul Festival will take place The Marmara Esma Sultan Yalısı, in Ortaköy on Sunday, April 30 at 13:00. From well-loved street food staples to dishes prepared by the city's most distinguished restaurants, the festival will reflect Istanbul’s culinary panorama. Tasting corners, concept bars, culinary workshops and sessions with leading names from the food industry, after- party and many more are among the facilities of the festival. Sahne Pulchérie , the performance venue of Sainte Pulchérie French High School, is hosting French writer Rémi de Vos' play "West" on April 28. West, will be performed by Kirpi Tiyatro. The play tells the story of a couple examining the far-right in Europe and exploring how the rise can transform ordinary people. The play is in Turkish with surtitles in French. The Seyyar Sahne theater group presents its play Dangerous Games - Tehlikeli Oyunlar on April 29. The play is based on the Oğuz Atay novel of the same name, dramatizing the existential struggle of character Hikmet Benol. The stream-of-consciousness narrative flows from monologue to dialogue, first-person narrator to omniscient narrator, letters to poems. Please note both performances begin at 20:30. The semi-final and final matches of TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup 2017 will be played at Garanti Koza Arena on Saturday and Sunday. Daily and combined tickets can be purchased through Biletix
Vodafone Istanbul Half Marathon , organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017. In addition to 21K race there will be 10K race. The races start at 09:00. Age limit is 18. Registrations are online only. For more information please click.
Istanbul Modern Cinema presents a program bringing together examples of recent contemporary Polish cinema on the weekend.
Legendary Japanese musician Kitaro will be at Zorlu PSM on Saturday at 21:00. Presenting a totally unique visual experience, “Kojiki and The Universe” merges Kitaro’s Grammy nominated music from the album “Kojiki" with dynamic space-age photographic scenes of the Universe. The 12th International Istanbul Tulip Festival, organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, continues on the weekend. This year 190 different species of tulips have been planted throughout Istanbul, most of which adorn Gülhane and Göztepe Parks, Emirgan, Yıldız, Beykoz, Fethi Paşa, Çamlıca, Gözdağı-Pendik and Hidiv-Çubuklu Groves.

Gayrettepe Metro Station is hosting "Dialogue in Silence Istanbul" . Dialogue in Silence is an experience in total silence where participants discover a repertoire of non-verbal expression with the help of deaf and hearing impaired guides and trainers. Participants enter an area of complete silence wearing noise-cancelling headsets, and experience an environment that helps them discover openness, empathy and an enhanced power of concentration. ”. Gayrettepe Metro Station is hosting “Dialogue in the Dark Istanbul”, which offers you an incredible experience to understand daily life of blind people. The concept of Dialogue in the Dark is simple: visitors are lead by blind guides in groups through specially constructed dark rooms in which scent, sound, wind, temperature and texture convey the characteristics of daily environments – for example a park, a city, a boat cruise or a bar. The daily routines become a new experience. Over the last twenty years Dialogue in the Dark has been presented in more than 30 countries and 130 cities throughout the world since its opening in 1988. English tours: Friday at 18:00, Saturday at 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00, Sunday at 14:00 and 16:00.
Gayrettepe Metro Station is also hosting “Turkcell Football in the Dark”, an exhibition and workshop to explore the unseen. Football in the Dark offers the players an incredible experience to understand the daily life of blind people. The participants will also support Blind Football.
