Valentine's Day
|
|
Especially in major cities, such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, many places from shopping malls to restaurants, from big stores to nightclubs are decorated with red roses and read hearts as of early February. Naturally these decorations are not as rich as the ones in America and in European countries, however the number of people who are aware of Valentine's Day was very limited fifteen years ago.
Valentine's Day special programs in big hotels, special parties at nightclubs, and dinners in famous restaurants with red roses, heart shaped cakes in pastry shops, various promotions in big stores and shopping malls are among the activities for Valentine's Day. In short red roses and red hearts will surround you during the first two weeks of February.
Please keep in mind that the restaurants and the entertainment spots will be crowded on Valentine's Day. If you plan to celebrate Valentine's Day in one of these sites we suggest you early reservation. Moreover catering companies will be pleased to serve you if you wish to have a party-for-two at home.
Please also keep in mind that some clubs organize "Lonely Hearts" parties for singles on the 14th.
Have a nice time!
