Second-hand Car Markets

Visiting second hand car markets (oto pazarı) on Sundays has recently become a hobby of car-loving Turkish-men. The jury of the daily newspaper "Hürriyet", who are auto specialists, journalists and businessmen have chosen the best second hand dealers in Turkey.
DOD
Dod was founded in Gebze four years ago and then moved to its current address.
It is open every day and has a capacity of 200 cars. Car protection is provided
with written assessments. Accrediting and warranties are available. They provide
periodic maintenance, and maintenance of mechanical parts such as tires is also
provided when needed. They purchase cars either directly or on consignment basis.
Car parking, WC and free coffee and soft drinks are among the facilities.
Autolink
Autuolink is open every day and keeps 100 vehicles in stock. Any brand of automobile
newer than 5 years and with a milage of under 100,000 kilometers. These are
on sale under their property. They provide free six-month warranties and accrediting
possibilities. Mechanical tests applied to the car and identification is given.
Payments in cash and barter are possible. There is a car parking lot. If you
are not pleased with the car you purchased, you may change it within a week.
A waiting room, WC, tea and coffee are also among the facilities.
Beyaz Papyon
Beyaz Papyon is located in Altunizade and has been in service since 1980. It
has a capacity of 600 cars and is open only on Sunday. On other days, it serves
as a car parking lot. The second hand cars are not so old. The purchaser does
not pay any fee, while the cars for sale pay an entrance fee of 20.000.000 TL.
Café, parking, WC is available.
Otoborsa
TK Otoborsa Otomobil Pazarı (Auto Market) is at OSTİM Ankara and covers an area
of 67.000 m2. It has been in service since 2002 and is open every day between
08:00 and 17:00. The most crowded days are Saturday and Sunday. 2500 cars are
on display on weekends and 1000 of them change hands. They also plan to organize
auctions eventually.
Otokoç
Otokoç is in Istinye and is open seven days a week. They have a minimum of 200-300
vehicles on hand. Advantageous accreditation possibilities, guaranteed sales
and insurance are among the facilities. They apply mechanical tests to a hundred
parts. Half of the vehicles are Ford, while the others are made up of various
brands. The vehicles on display are mostly commercial. WC, waiting room, car
parking, coffee and tea are also available.
Yüreğir Open Car Market
Yüreğir Açık Oto Pazarı is in Adana. 1200-1300 used autos are on display on
Sundays and 10% of them change hands. WC, office and drinking water are available.
An entrance fee of 1.500.000 TL is applied to the car on display. The vehicles
are mostly domestic brands. It is open on Sundays from 05:00 to 13:30.
Mersin Open Car Market
This market has a capacity of 500 vehicles and various brands and models are
available. It is open on weekends between 07:00 and 14:00. They don't check
if the car is stolen and they don't provide insurance. Their daily car sale
is 100 and there is no age limit. They provide repair. There is a restaurant,
WC, coffee and tea service.
Kartal Açık Oto Pazarı (Open Car Market)
The market is in Kartal, Istanbul and open only on Sundays; it is used as a
traffic education center on the other days. Entrance is free, but a 10.000.000
TL display fee is applied to small vehicles. It has a capacity of 5000 cars
and is full on Sundays. The dealers and purchasers make waranty and barter arrangements
between them. The price is subject to bargain.
Birleşik Car Market
İzmir Birleşik Car Market was founed in Kemalpaşa in 1998. It is open only on
Sundays between 07:30 and 19:00 and has a capacity of 3500 cars. As you cannot
leave your car there, insurance is not applied. They sell about 350 cars on
Sundays. There are no age or brand restrictions.
Küçük Sanayi Car Market
This market is in Bursa and has a capacity of 2100 cars. It opens on Saturdays
at 13:00 for those who wish to live their cars, but purchase and sale is on
Sundays between 07:00 and 17:30. There is an 18-person security staff. Restaurant,
WC and a small mosque are among the facilities of the market. The entrance fee
is 4.000.000 TL. There are no age or brand restrictions.
