I forgot to say that some of my cats were on TV! Animal Planet´s Cats 101. You can see a link to the segment on Turkish Angoras on the first page of my website (and how much I love Turkey and these cats) at bizansturks.com. There is concern for the health of the gene pool outside of Turkey. I hope someone will help.

Hi, everyone.
I spent the BEST part of my life in Ankara in the early 1970s working at the American Embassy. Now I live just outside Washington, D.C., and I breed the BEST breed of cat in the world: Turkish Angoras (Ankara kedisi).
I´m looking for some contacts in Turkey to put me in touch with pet shops and Angora breeders. My Turkish language ability doesn´t nearly cover this subject, so I´d need either really good English-speaking breeders or for you to speak both English and Turkish very well.
I am familiar with some restrictions for this national treasure leaving Turkey, and I know that there are ways to do so legally.

I visited Turkey January 2010 for 3 weeks & Liked the country speacialy Istanbul, now I want to live abroad for while (six months or more) in Turkey
Istanbul is my favorite city & will be so amazing to find job & work there!

did u find a nanny? where do u live? what hours do u need a nanny and for what age children? i speak a little turkish(it´s getting better by the week :), but i´m an american, i´ve lived here 1 year.
